While sport motorcycles are not the most comfortable bike you’ll ever ride, they are so easy to control that you may feel like you’re one with your bike as you glide across the finish line.

Aerodynamic Riding Posture

While most motorcycles are designed to be ridden in an upright or leaned-back riding position, sport bikes push the rider forward, which reduces wind resistance at the expense of ergonomics. There are raised foot pegs that draw the rider’s legs in tight to their body so they can more easily grab the clip-on handlebars of the bike. This posture may look strange, but it’s not that different from the forward lean of a horse racer. 

Intriguing Design Elements

Disc brakes are equipped with multi-piston calipers clipped onto oversized rotors. Front and rear tires are larger than they are on other types of motorcycles to provide more contact with the asphalt to improve cornering. Aerodynamic fairings reduce drag while still giving the rider some wind protection.
